Barack Obama emailed his supporters about a special edition organic cotton teeshirt with a modified logo (yes, yes, it’s green with a tree), but it’s not up at his website. You can pick it up for a donation here.
Meanwhile, back in the McCainiverse, they’ve got tons of space dedicated to eco-friendly Maverapparel! His logos are green here too, but they’ve got the recycling logo instead of a tree. Organic cotton tote bags, 70% bamboo polo shirts, recycled plastic mugs with “enhanced biodegradability”…which is all lovely, for the five Republicans who think environmental friendliness is more than a liberal plot to dismantle the capitalist economy or the American dream or apple pie or whatever it is dirty liberals hate. (I love apple pie, and I’m ok with capitalism and the American Dream, though I prefer the latter as explored in fictional, literary constructs. FYI.)
Dude, Barack, he’s still pushing the gas tax moratorium*, and you’re letting his campaign greenflood you!
Where’s my organic tote with your name on it, Obama? Where is my soy-ink bumper sticker? I demand a flag pin made of hemp!
*Seriously. Check out the ad in the left column- you might have to scroll an inch or two, depending on browser size. Update: I checked the link before I posted it, but when I checked it again after, the banner had changed from McCain’s gas tax petition to something else. I’ll put up a screenshot if I see it again, but it’s been up at the NRO for the past week (yeah, I read the NRO…).

I really like that shirt and I’m totally making a donation (buying one). Thanks for the links.
Nice post too. It made me laugh out loud.
